Jesuit Social Service's African Visitation and Mentoring Program seeks to provide visitation and mentoring support to sentenced men and women from Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea and Ethiopia in Victorian prisons throughout sentence and upon release into the community after imprisonment. The program recruits and trains volunteer mentors, who provide culturally appropriate visitation and support to African men and women in custody
