About Us
When a young person gets out of prison and there's no one there to meet them, they've got nowhere to live and no job to go to, they're not off to a good start. The very reason the Brosnan Centre exists is to make sure that doesn't happen.

The Brosnan Centre, founded thirty years ago, focuses on young people aged 17-25 years who have difficultly reintegrating into the community after their sentences have been completed: those with the least support and hope.

We target young people who have complex needs related to isolation, homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse, mental illness and intellectual disability.

Our staff start building relationships with young people whilst they are still incarcerated. This continues post release and includes practical assistance with everything involved in successful reintegration into the community: housing, drug and alcohol counselling, reconnecting with family, recreation options, and pathways to education, training and employment.
