About Communities Together
The Jesuit Social Services Communities Together team of community development workers is assisting in building stronger and safer communities in the highrise public housing estates situated in the City of Yarra. These communities are culturally diverse, but are united in battling low income and the other disadvantages related to this.

Our Communities Together programs have expanded to meet the need for recreation, social, cultural and education activities, and are active in fostering leadership so that residents can have a say in the issues affecting their every day lives.

New initiatives constantly evolve through working closely with the residents to get to know their needs, then planning partnership projects with community members and other agencies, and seeking funding from diverse sources.
