| Associate Professor Margarita Frederico |
Associate Professor Margarita Frederico, B.A., Dip. Soc. Studs., B.S.W. (University of Melbourne), M.S.W. (Smith), M.B.A. (University of Melbourne), is Director of Postgraduate Programs, School of Social Work and Social Policy. Margarita has extensive experience in teaching, research and evaluation. She designed and established the School of Social Work at Australian Catholic University Canberra, and has designed postgraduate programs in Management of Human Service Organisations, postgraduate programs for delivery in Indonesia, and has partnered with other La Trobe University staff in the development of the Postgraduate Certificate in Complex Community Care. Associate Professor Frederico has published in journals and through evaluation reports. She has undertaken a number of consultancies for Federal and State Government and international organisations. Professor Frederico was a member of the Monash University team which researched the management of child abuse allegations in the Family Court of Australia and the development of the Magellan model to manage allegations which was adopted by the Court. Associate Professor Frederico has experience as a member of a number of Boards of Directors of community organisations and joined the Jesuit Social Services Board in 2006. |
